Introduced in September 2006, this new programme offers, in addition to the A level programme, educationally enriching sessions which may be followed to either AS or GCSE level. All Lower Sixth students must select one from the following subjects:

• Mandarin

• Critical thinking

• Science for public understanding

• Dance

• Film

In addition, fortnightly sessions (including occasional presentations by outside speakers) and tutorials provide a forum for debates, quizzes, films, and drama productions, and aim to develop students' personal, social, health and citizenship education. Recent examples include world conflicts; the psychology of hypnosis; Amnesty International; safe driving; Vincent Van Gough; technology and society.
