Request a prospectus/visit via the website online booking form, or by calling the Director of Admissions (Tel: 0118 987 9608), who will also be able to advise you on the availabilty of spaces in each year group.
Application: complete a Registration Form and return it with the application fee of £100, or £150 if the person who will pay the school bills either is domiciled outside the EU or needs a visa to enter the UK (non-refundable).
Entrance Tests/Interview:
For entry to Years 7-10 in September 2012: Your son/daughter will be invited to sit the entrance tests (English, maths and non-verbal reasoning) and have an interview with a senior member of staff. These will take place on the 14th January 2012.
Reference: On receipt of a registration form, and with your agreement, we will request a confidential reference from your child's current school, together with a copy of their most recent school report.
Offers:
For entry to Years 7-10: Places are offered approximately two weeks after the entrance tests, and are based on performance in these tests and the interview, as well as upon the reference and report from your child's current school. Year 8 pupils taking Common Entrance exams at their current school will be expected to reach a good standard, but our own entrance tests determine the awarding of places at Leighton Park.
For entry to the Sixth Form: Conditional offers are based upon the reference received from the student's current school, the interview, and the achievement of at least five GCSE passes at grade B or above, with grade A* - B in AS level subjects or Higher Level subjects for IB students.Students taking maths at AS Level or IB Higher Level will require an A*/A GCSE Grade.
Accepting a place: complete an Acceptance Form and return this with a deposit of £600. This will be credited to the final account of those entering Leighton Park. It will not normally be refunded if an application is withdrawn prior to a place being taken up.
