Sports awards

Awards for 2008/9 may be made at each level i.e. Junior (Year 7), Senior (Year 9), Sixth Form (see Scholarships for further details).

Scholars are expected to play a full and active role in the life of the PE and Games department.

Requirements

The sport scholarship trials are held in January with a closing date for applications usually in the second week of December.  Pupils should be playing for a rugby, cricket, hockey, netball, soccer or rounders team at county level, or equivalent.  Pupils performing in other sports, eg athletics, would also be considered. 

Candidates will be required to attend : a trial session at LP, probably linked to a games session with pupils of a similar age; an interview with the Heads of Biys' ir Girls' Games, and a fitness test.
