Elvis is on The Park
Parents and pupils rocked the night away, at the PTA' s Elvis Night, starring Ben Portsmouth, unofficially the coolest teacher in the school! Ben, who fronts the Taking Care of Elvis Band teaches Rock Guitar in the Music Department.
Despite many of the audience being born long after Elvis's death, they danced all night, to a string of Elvis's greatest hits. From "Hound Dog" to "Blue Suede Shoes", Ben left the audience calling for more at the end.
The evening kicked off with a special american themed menu, in Oakview, with typical southern delights as Teriyaki steak, southern fried chicken, turkey jambalaya, corn cobs, and of course, cajun burgers. Mouthwatering Mississippi mud pie and key lime pie tempted taste buds as guests racked their brains on an Elvis trivia quiz.
