Tour Dinner is a golden evening

Fundraising for the Rugby and Hockey Tour to South Africa had a major boost with the spectacular Tour Dinner.  Guests were treated to a first class meal, served in Oakview, followed by a speech by Richard Dodds, British Olympic Gold Medal winner for hockey.  Encouraging the young people who are going on the tour to seize the opportunity, he spoke of the joys of competition and the many benefits of sport for all.Guests were able to try Richard's gold medal, for further inspiration. mark

 The evening ended with an auction and draw, with much sought after lots including Johnny Wilkinson's autobiography, with a good luck message for the tour, a week at a villa in Florida, golf days and a signed Reading FC and Leicester rugby shirt.

Pupils have also been bag packing at Waitrose and will also be washing cars, amongst various fundraising activities.
