Fryer Football Team have the best season for over 10 years

The Fryer (House) A team have had a very successful term, winning every game, the first time this has happened for more than 10 years. The team have scored a total of 34 goals in 9 games and have only conceded 8.

Leighton Park School Fryer Football teamFryer's (Years 7&8) captain Scott Morgan writes; 'everyone in the team contributed to our success this season. Our goalkeeper Rawdie Marks only conceded 8 goals but would have conceded more if it wasn’t for Jack Williams, Connor Burns, Alex Lazenby, Aleksei Pilko and Alex Parkhurst in defence. The midfield which included Connor Coutts, Joel Cutler, George Blundell, Joe Blundell, Tom Cobley and Joe Boyd-Jones played a vital part in our success and created the opportunities for myself and Danny Loader to each reach double figures in goals for the term'

Tim Green (Games and History teacher) commented ‘it is a remarkable achievement for the boys to have won every game this term. They have all shown an incredible desire to achieve this record and they should all be very proud of their accomplishments. The standard of football over the term has been outstanding and some of the results they have achieved have been excellent’
