The Houses
The five houses provide a home from home environment where both day and boarding pupils can study and socialise:
-
Each house provides leisure facilities which are shared by both day and boarding pupils, including common room, television room, library, games room;
-
Residential accommodation is separate, but day pupils are welcome to spend time with their friends who board provided permission has been obtained from the house staff on duty;
-
All day pupils have their own study space;
-
Bedrooms are comfortable and pupils are encouraged to make them as homely as possible. Sixth Formers usually have single study bedrooms; younger pupils typically share a room with one to three others.
Pupils aged 11-13 (Years 7 and 8) are members of Fryer, our junior house. There are currently eighty pupils in Fryer, which offers pupils a more intimate environment in which they can find their feet as they get used to their new surroundings.
The four senior houses, Reckitt, Grove, School and Field are home for pupils aged 13-18 (Year 9 - Upper Sixth).
