The years always seem to roll away at reunions as friends, who may have not met for many years reconnect. The Park rang with laughter, the sound of stories being shared & the sounds of children playing as Mums and Dads relaxed with former classmates. The reunion programme of the last two years was cancelled due to the pandemic so the OL Team caught up with the classes of “0” (2010, 2000, 1990 and so on). The “1”s takes place on 1st October.
“A huge Thank You to you all for organising a wonderful reunion last Saturday. Everyone is different but equally unique and seem to spark memories, discussions and laughs which are incredibly special. What always intrigues me is the speed at one re-engages as though there had never been the partition of time. On Saturday I met Henry P, Steve W and Dele who I have not seen since the day we walked out of the door in the Summer of 1980…we had some catching up to do! Our year group has now created a Whats App group which I am sure will be highly active going forward. I and others are already looking forward to the next!” wrote Roger Pitt.
