After chomping through a classic Guy Fawkes Night treat of toffee apples at breaktime on Thursday 5th November, our boarders began the weekend with more festivities.
On Friday, as the sun went down and classes finished for the week, each Senior House; School, Reckitt and Field, wrapped up warm to come together around a bonfire on the Park and enjoy music, singing and each other’s companionship.
Accompanying the boarders was a feast of sticky cider and fried onion hotdogs, hot chilli con carne with sticky rice feast, marshmallow skewers and not forgetting hot chocolate to wash everything down, served by Oakview Restaurant.
“Bonfire night was terrific.” Commented Lou Cory, Reckitt Housemistress. “They all had a great time!” echoed Resident Tutor, Grace Ritchie.
