The annual Whiteknights Studio Trail returns to Leighton Park this weekend, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June. This year marks the walking tour of artists’ studios milestone of 25th year.
Leighton Park is venue number 3 on the trail. We are delighted to host mixed media artist, Tom Cartmill, who also teaches English as an Additional Language at the school, and our Art Technician known as Katie Squirrel as an artist and printmaker. Additionally, Mick McNicholas will be showcasing his oil paintings and charcoal drawings, together with textiles and mixed media artist Susan Attwood.
The trail is centred around the Whiteknights area and offers an interesting walk around an exhibition of creativity featuring over 40 artists in 33 different venues. The exhibition is open on both Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June from 11.00am to 6.00pm and for anyone wishing to come along to Leighton Park, please use the Pepper Lane entrance (RG2 7DG) and make your way to Peckover Hall. There will also be refreshments available courtesy of the NHS Big Tea.
