In common with all Independent Schools, Leighton Park is regularly inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) to ensure high quality provision.
The ISI place the student at the heart of their inspections, with children’s wellbeing, character and personal growth considered alongside academic progress and learning attitude. Unlike Ofsted, the ISI do not make a single overarching judgement of a school but instead give an assessment of each aspect of a school’s provision.
Leighton Park had a full inspection in November 2021, with the report published in January 2022. The Chief Inspector’s report identifies that we have met all areas of regulatory compliance and gained the top category “Excellent” for both the quality of pupils’ personal development and the quality of the pupils’ academic achievement. This is the best possible mark that an independent school can achieve.
