An excited group of 60 musicians comprising staff and students set off as soon as term ended, bound for the gorgeous scenery of Slovenia and the prospect of three magnificent concerts in beautiful venues overseas.
Although the 4.30am departure was horribly early everyone set off in good spirits as they flew to Zagreb and then took a coach across the Croatian/Slovenian boarder to Ljubljana, where they are based for the week.
So far the group have explored the city with a guided walk, a boat ride and a high wire cable car trip, performed in their first concert at Ljubljana town hall and visited Postojna Castle, Predjama caves and a fabulous restaurant with amazing views, Jamski Dvorec.
