As the 2026 Easter Ski Trip got underway, excitement was high as students gathered bright and early on Saturday 28th March, ready to embark on their journey to Linz, Austria and take on the slopes.
The resort did not disappoint. Boasting a glacier peak of 2,168 metres and over 350 kilometres of skiable terrain, it is one of Austria’s largest and most impressive ski areas. With an excellent range of runs, 145 beginner runs, 181 intermediate runs and 30 advanced runs, there was something for every ability level. Thanks to 90% snow coverage, conditions were ideal for Easter skiing, providing crisp, reliable snow throughout the week.
Our beginner skiers made fantastic progress over the course of the trip. With the support of experienced instructors, they quickly built confidence, mastering the basics and, by the end of the week, tackling runs they never thought possible. It was great to see their determination and enthusiasm pay off.
Meanwhile, our more experienced skiers took full advantage of the extensive slopes and stunning alpine scenery. From long cruising runs to more challenging descents, they embraced everything the resort had to offer. Of course, no ski trip is complete without the occasional tumble, and there were plenty of light-hearted moments as even the most confident skiers were reminded to stay humble!
The fun didn’t stop when the lifts closed. Evenings were packed with lively après-ski activities, including mini-golf, a competitive quiz night, and a friendly competition playing basketball and football. Another fantastic year of skiing and we look forward to next year!
