Keynote Speech: The Future of Technology
Take a look +
Watch Peter Marshman, Computer Lead and Outreach Manager from Computing At School, on a journey of discovery as he explores the topics of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Big Data. Find out what skills you will need to thrive in a world where technology is evolving so fast that the jobs you might be doing when you grow up, don’t yet exist!

Monday 8th March
Art & Engineering #1: What do you need?

2.30pm Live Q&A
Meet Gemma Sims, Leighton Park's Head of Biology and quiz her about the amazing phenomenon that is your body! The focus of the session will be on the heart and circulation so get your questions ready!

Wednesday 10th March
Biology #2: What do you need?
Space in which to move, activewear, trainers if outside, pens/pencils (different colours if possible), ruler, paper, calculator or device with calculator facility. Squared paper or graph paper would also be useful if you have it.

At the Heart of It #2
Find out how your heart rate is affected by exercise. Take your pulse at different stages during your exercise routine, ready to analyse your performance. Learn the difference between aerobic and anaerobic exercise, calculate averages and much more! This session is led by our Sixth Form CTECH Sports students.

Creativity is key
At Leighton Park we place great emphasis on the value of creativity believing that many skills traditionally associated with the arts, such as imagination, visual perception and innovative design, are essential to success in science, technology, engineering and maths. This is why we celebrate STEAM rather than STEM both within and beyond our curriculum.
