Studies in Spanish

Year 10 GCSE Spanish students enjoyed seeing the real-life benefits of learning a language during their trip to Málaga from 16th to 21st July.

They were immersed in language lessons each morning for four hours, with native speakers, conversing exclusively in Spanish. All students were delighted to receive their certificates to confirm their successful course completion.

In the afternoons, they were able to experience Spanish life, with trips to El Caminito del Rey, the King’s Little Pathway, a walkway pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge, and to La Alhambra, the palace and fortress complex in Granada. They also had opportunities to build their developing Spanish speaking skills whilst exploring the town centre, markets, shops, beach and port in Málaga.

One parent shared her daughter’s experience: “She feels she’s learnt loads and improved her spoken Spanish and had an absolute blast while doing it.”
