| Arguably the Most Important Part of School |

Research shows that your brain develops best through movement, interaction and challenge. Activities that spark curiosity, connection and joy release powerful feel good hormones like dopamine and oxytocin which are essential for motivation, wellbeing and memory. That’s why our co-curricular programme is built around being with others, learning on your feet and discovering through doing. The most sought-after employability skills are no longer just academic qualifications, but confidence, communication, resilience, creativity and collaboration. These aren’t taught by textbooks alone. They’re developed in real-time, through real experiences. That’s exactly what we embed into our co-curricular programme - helping us win the national ISA Award for Pupil Personal Development. |
| Future Readiness |
Every detail of our co-curricular programme is designed to help you become who you're meant to be - from sector-leading personal development opportunities to national-award-winning debating and public speaking; from tailored mentorship to help you become a compassionate leader or effective changemaker to an innovative Futures and Aspiring High programme - we'll provide you with the support to achieve your goals.

| Expressive and Creative Arts |
The expressive and creative arts are at the heart of a Leighton Park education. You will develop confidence, emotional intelligence, and a strong sense of self by exploring ideas beyond words. Embrace the opportunities to collaborate, take creative risks, and see the world from new perspectives, enriching both your academic learning and personal growth at Leighton Park.
| Duke of Edinburgh & Social Action |
Through the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme you can begin a journey that builds confidence, character and independence beyond the classroom. You will develop resilience through challenge, teamwork through shared responsibility, and leadership through planning, decision-making and reflection. The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is fully supported through the co-curricular programme at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. Nearly all students take the Bronze Award in Year 9, and can progress onto the Silver Award in Years 10 and 11 and the Gold Award in the Sixth Form. Quakers have a proud tradition for standing up for what's right, from being at the forefront of the Abolishonist Movement to winning the Nobel Peace Prize in 1947; from co-founding advocacy groups like Amnesty International, Greenpeace and Oxfam to establishing businesses to create social good, like Rowntree, Clarks and Cadbury. We aim to give our Quaker values currency and purpose today by advocating for positive change in the world. |
| Sport & Wellbeing |
Play sport every day if you like. Get your heart pumping, build your strength, or stretch it out. From early swimming at 6.30am to games training under the floodlights, you can try more than 30 sports here. Students enjoy annual sports tours to destinations in Europe and further afield.
