High Achievers, Naturally
Our Sixth Formers achieve the best academic progress in Berkshire, but you might be surprised to learn that this has never been our end goal. Yes, we encourage hard work, but our focus has always been to support you to think about what you want to achieve, foster your inner drive and find purpose in your learning.
Our Sixth Form classes are small, for fun and engaging lessons. With a strong emphasis on personal development alongside academic progress, we encourage you to find your passions, live adventurously, and develop a deep desire to learn and grow.

Which Programme? IB or A Levels
Everyone has their own approach to learning, which is why we offer two world-class programmes for your Sixth Form studies.
| IB Diploma |
|---|
|
An excellent option if you have broad interests - particularly in global perspectives and culture - and you’re not ready to narrow them down yet. You’ll be part of a cosmopolitan cohort, and have plenty of contact time with teachers. |
| A Levels |
|
These will suit you if you prefer to focus on specific subjects that capture your interest. You’ll have defined areas of study, assessed by exams, and you’ll be happy to work independently, including an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). |
Future Destinations
We are here to support you to achieve your dreams. Our Sixth Formers secure places on the most competitive university programmes, degree apprenticeships and professional training courses. But no matter which path you choose, we’ve got the expertise to support you every step of the way.
Our Aspiring High Programme offers dedicated support, including comprehensive guidance for applications to Oxbridge, Medicine, Law and overseas universities.
Most of our students go on to Russell Group Universities, with many others going to specialist institutions like St. George’s for Medicine, the University of Lancaster for Space Science, Central St Martin’s for the arts or one of the country's leading conservatoires for music.

Our Sixth Form Study Centre
Our Sixth Form classes are small, for fun and engaging lessons. With a strong emphasis on personal development alongside academic progress, we encourage you to find your passions, live adventurously, and develop a deep desire to learn and grow.
Study spaces play a crucial role in academic success. To do your best, you need surroundings that keep you comfortable, motivated and engaged.
In 2024, we transformed one of our historic buildings into a new Sixth Form Study Centre. It’s a spectacular learning environment, blending heritage architecture, inspiring study areas and cutting-edge learning technology.
Alongside the double height school library, the centre includes a lecture theatre, a video conference studio, six classrooms, places for quiet study, a huge common room and a cafe, roof terraces with stunning views and calm outdoor spaces for relaxation and wellbeing.. Every detail is designed to support your success and transition to university.
