In common with all Independent Schools, Leighton Park is regularly inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) to ensure high quality provision.
Unlike Ofsted, the ISI do not make a single overarching judgement of a school but instead give an assessment of each aspect of a school’s provision.
Leighton Park had a full inspection in November 2024, with the report published in January 2025. The report identifies that we have met all regulatory standards and is notably positive and rich in commendation. We are particularly pleased to have been recognised for a ‘significant strength’ in an area that defines us: our values.
“Teaching is purposeful, well-paced and incorporates effective methodologies…. The curriculum focuses on broadening pupils’ perspectives and fosters thoughtful discussions.” (ISI Report, 23)
“When you are at the school, the integrity and respect embedded in LP’s culture seems very normal but in reality, it is something special that doesn’t exist everywhere.” – Livi, Old Leightonian
“The Quaker values that this school encourages us to follow have changed how I act inside and outside of school. Overall it makes me happier and much more relaxed.” – Max, Year 9
Teachers balance praise with constructive criticism, fostering an environment where pupils respond to feedback and refine their skills. (ISI Report, 25)
