Sustainability at Leighton Park
Leighton Park champions sustainability through action, education, and student leadership. The school holds the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award and was named Green Senior School of the Year 2023 by City Kids magazine. Student-led clubs - including the Eco Group, Fryer Eco Club, and NEWTs - drive projects on biodiversity, energy, and waste. Pupils lead climate summits, tree planting, and awareness campaigns like Big Green Week. Sustainability is embedded in the curriculum through partnerships with the University of Reading and creative outreach. With over 1,700 trees planted and national award recognition, Leighton Park equips students to be confident, responsible stewards of the planet.
