Year 8 had a brilliant time at ‘Back To The Future The Musical’ and were blown away by the incredible stage production and special effects.
Doc had great lines and pulled them off with flair, reducing the audience to tears of laughter. The cast thoroughly deserved their standing ovation.
Max commented: “Amazing show with the best special effects I have ever seen. It looked like a movie!” while Emma enthused: “I loved how funny it was but I also loved the serious moments”
Maxi, speaking like a true polished theatre critic, concluded: “That doctor doesn’t get paid enough, he was so good!! The music was incredible and they made a car levitate; not sure how but they did it!”
Year 7, meanwhile, went to see ‘Hercules’. Nicky Hardy, Deputy Head, Pastoral who accompanied the students summarised: “This afternoon our Year 7 students set off to the West End to see ‘Hercules’ at the Theatre Royal, while Year 8 enjoyed the incredible energy of Back to the Future. What a joy it was to see our students so excited, engaged and ready to soak up the atmosphere of live theatre.
Trips like these are about so much more than just the show. They are powerful opportunities for young people to experience cultural and pro-social activities, build confidence in new environments, and learn important life skills such as personal safety, theatre etiquette, and how to conduct themselves responsibly in public spaces.”
