On November 13th three students went to the launch of the Duke of York iDEA Digital Silver Award at St James’s Palace.
Alex Yi, Richard Budge and Josh Woodlock were delighted to attend and be selected as they were the first in the Berkshire area to achieve the Bronze award.
iDEA is a programme that helps young students to develop digital enterprise and employability skills for free through a series of online challenges and events. The scheme includes a number of badge tasks such as: Cyber security, E-Safety, Digital Ethics, Animation, Coding and Big Data.
During the launch students heard from a panel of experts in the digital sector as well as hearing from the Duke of York about the massive growth of the scheme and how it is upskilling people across the world. Next, students are excited to work towards the silver award which looks at project work focused on foundation, activation and resolution – all key skills in the digital world!
