Students are able to join classes and immerse themselves in a leading British boarding school – we won the national School of the Year Award in the Independent Schools Association Awards 2023-24. As an IB World School, 80% of our students are British but we are proud to welcome students from 45 different countries – adding global perspectives to our kind and vibrant learning community.
Students will access our award-winning personal development programme, with over 90 co-curricular hobbies available, including Drone Club, Eco Club, Model United Nations, Dance clubs, 30 different Music hobbies and over 30 different Sports to choose from. Boarding
Students will stay in Fryer House, a modern home from home – fully refurbished in 2022. Students share with two friends in spacious, ensuite rooms. Four teachers live alongside the students providing them with support and encouragement, and always on hand to solve small problems before they become big problems. Each student is part of a small tutor group of no more than 12 students. The Tutor is responsible for the students’ academic progress and personal development. They see their students three times every day and have an overview of how they are doing. Tutors contact parents at least every two weeks to ensure we are working together with families as a team. Find out more about our junior boarding house.
Transport
Our boarding house team can arrange a taxi for students arriving into Heathrow or Gatwick Airports. Heathrow is 30 minutes away and a taxi costs around £45. Our approved taxi service ensures that all drivers have security clearance to work with young people.

Students in Years 7 & 8 wear a school blazer with grey trousers or a skirt and a white shirt or blouse. Boys also wear the school tie. Students should also have the school games kit for playing sports. It might be possible for you to borrow these items if you do not wish to buy them.
Students in Year 9 wear a blue or black suit. This can come from any shop and girls can wear a skirt or trouser suit.
