Under the Payroll Giving Scheme, employees can authorise their employer to deduct charitable donations from their pay before calculating Pay As You Earn tax. This means that the employee automatically gets tax relief on donations at his or her top rate of tax. There is no limit on the amount that can be given under the scheme. To find out more about Payroll Giving and if your company operates the scheme, please contact your Human Resources or Personnel department.
Leaving a gift in your will to Leighton Park Trust is possibly the greatest gift you can make during your lifetime and offers you the opportunity to invest in the future of the school for years to come. Find out more about how to leave a gift in your will here, or contact Keith Eldridge on 0118 987 9607.
Transnational Giving Europe is a philanthropic scheme that allows donors in participating European countries to give to charities in the UK, including Leighton Park Trust, and receive any tax advantages available in their country of residence.
In order to make a tax-efficient gift, donors should contact the partnership organisation of their country of residence and express a wish to make their donation to the Leighton Park Trust. The partnership organisation will contact CAF (the partnership organisation in the UK), who will then contact Leighton Park. The donor makes the gift to his or her home-country partnership organisation which then provides the donor with a tax receipt and transfers the gift to the beneficiary organisation.
For a list of participating countries please go to the Transnational Giving Europe website and click on your country of residence.
If you would like help with this process, please contact Jenny Rowe, Assistant Bursar at Leighton Park.
