On Tuesday 3rd December, Leighton Park School and the Kennet Federation and gave a special performance to spread Christmas cheer and support a great cause.
The LP Partnerships Choir, featuring talented voices from both Leighton Park students and local primary schools – Katesgrove and Southcote – came together for a heartwarming rehearsal and lunch. This special collaboration prepared them for a festive performance at Reading Station, all in aid of the Royal Berks Charity, supporting our local hospital.
For the second consecutive year, the choir gathered a joyful crowd at the station, drawing smiles and applause from commuters, shoppers and business people on their lunchbreak. The spirited singing not only celebrated the season but also showcased the power of music to unite people and inspire generosity.
Reflecting on the day, Senior Assistant Head: Partnerships, Tash Coccia, said “The ‘A’ in STEAM is truly alive and kicking at LP today, and I couldn’t be prouder of how we are shining a light on the arts in our community.”
