The first evening concert of the Spring Term took place on Wednesday 29th January as our talented soloists took to the stage in Main Hall.
With a compact programme offering a dedicated audience an eclectic selection of pieces ranging from Bach to Billie Eilish, the evening was a great success. There were pieces on piano, violin, bassoon, oboe, cello, saxophone, voice and even an original composition on computer. Rosemary Scales, Director of Music and Media, described the night as ‘a cracking line up of performances” and was delighted with both the enthusiasm and the musical capabilities of the students. A number of the soloists are also Music Scholars and took the opportunity to showcase their skills, inspiring many other students, staff and parents across the school community.
