House spirit filled Main Hall on Thursday 29th February, in an nail-bitingly exciting House Quiz! Students from our four Houses, Fox, Tubman, Cadbury and Bentsi-Enchill gathered, dressed proudly in their respective House colours, ready to test their knowledge and quick thinking.
Quiz masters Alex Wallace (Deputy Head, Academic) and Sally Saunders (Assistant Head, Pupil Personal development) prepared for some heated rounds ahead of time with a variety of topics and questions. They proffered rounds on Science, Music and General Knowledge, including some very obscure questions!
Fox House set the pace early on, demonstrating exceptional knowledge particularly in the Science round. However, Tubman House proved to be formidable competitors, steadily gaining ground with their performance in the General Knowledge round. While Cadbury House and Bentsi-Enchill House contributed points here and there, it was Fox House who maintained their lead with their quick reflexes on the buzzer.
Alex commented “The House Quiz was another excellent event, once again I was blown away by the brilliance of the students. There was a fantastic atmosphere in the quiz arena and the crowd participation in the music round ensured the spirits remained high throughout. Fox House were once again exceptional, demonstrating superb all-round knowledge. The most pleasing aspect was the respect the competition was shown by those in the audience. It was a pleasure to host such a joyous event”.
