Badges of Honour for our Female Lead Society

The Female Lead Society gathered together on Thursday 14th November to celebrate their solidarity and community spirit by pledging to uphold the values that they have espoused. Supporting one another as individuals and collectively standing up for women’s rights against social prejudice has united the group with a common purpose. Head Girl, Kimia (Upper Sixth) led the pledge as the group recited, “As part of the Female Lead Society I pledge that in this community I will let every voice be heard and valued. To be a supportive individual. To inspire others with kindness, compassion and respect. And together we will battle the challenges that the world throws us.”

The girls were pleased to recognise their belonging by awarding badges to the Female Lead Ambassadors in each year group and agreeing to design a badge for all members later this term. Immy (Upper Sixth) explained, “To get the badge you’ve needed to be a part of the Society, come to meetings, come a few of the talks, involve yourself. We have a big turn-out, it’s such a big thing in the school which I love. The badge signifies that we are a group, we are a community. We work together and we support each other. The badge shows that we are part of something bigger than just the meetings, that goes on all week, which is really cool!“
