Combining Chocolate, Charity and Community

Leighton Park celebrated Easter early this year, raising money for charity in the last week of term in a gesture of generosity. Individuals were invited to contribute a fixed cost of £2.50, an investment that promised not only the delight of an Easter Egg but also the fulfilment of supporting a good charitable cause.

The School’s Social Enterprise club, a testament to the compassion and activism amongst the student body, supplied Easter Eggs of many delicious varieties including Maltesers, Dairy Milk, Smarties, Mini Eggs, Caramel and KitKat.

However, the significance of this event extended far beyond the mere exchange of chocolate treasures. Every donation collected, every egg distributed, will be combined with all other charity events from across the 2023 to 2024 School year, with all donations from the Social Enterprise Club going to a great cause at the end of Summer term.

The community spirit did not stop there, however! Staff celebrated the end of a successful term in the Common Room with hot cross buns, creme eggs and a ‘How many sweets are in the jar?’ competition.
