Zac in Year 11 is raising money for NHS Charities Together and the Virgin Atlantic Foundation, by sacrificing his luscious locks at the end of the month. On Thursday 30th April he is entrusting his brother Barnaby to give him a buzz cut, after spending many months growing out and grooming his hair.
Zac reflected “As many people are giving selflessly during this time, I would also like to do a little selfless giving! I would like to raise as much money as I can for the NHS for supporting all of those with Covid-19 and risking their lives for us.”
He will also be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Virgin Atlantic Foundation “for all their support with delivering medical supplies to the NHS and all over the world.” Zac was inspired to support this charity in response to the enormous amount of work and funding the company are providing for their partners, the NHS.
Getting out into the community, Zac has been sharing word about the fundraiser in his local area as he checks in on his neighbours. His mother, Julia, remarked: “He wanted to do something for others at this time. He’s been writing personal notes to give out and striking up conversation with new people in the area as everyone is currently at home! He’s out on his bike between lessons and has now even started to venture further afield.”
