Psychology students were delighted to be joined by Forensic Psychologist, Jade Robinson, who is currently working at Broadmoor hospital. The talk aimed to give them a more in depth insight to the role and the paths psychology can take them.
Jade’s talk provided students with a fascinating insight into the field of forensic psychology research and her experiences working at Broadmoor Hospital. She spoke about the realities of working in a high-security psychiatric setting, the challenges and rewards of forensic psychology, and how research informs practice in this field.
Psychology teacher, Charlotte Sado, commented: “The students found her talk incredibly engaging and insightful, as it offered a real-world perspective on the subject beyond the curriculum. It also helped them understand the practical applications of psychology in forensic settings and the career pathways available in this area. Jade’s experiences and knowledge really inspired them, and many left the session with a newfound interest in forensic psychology.”
