House Quiz

The inaugural House Quiz launched with an entertaining and erudite set of four contestants from each of Fox, Bentsi-Enchill, Cadbury and Tubman on Thursday 2nd March.

 

Hosted by seasoned Leighton Park veteran, Mark Simmons, and new kid on the block, Alex Wallace, the questions covered everything from the name of the Headmaster in 1948 to the name of Eddie’s dog! With rounds about Music, Sport, Science, General Knowledge and the History of LP there were three lead questions, worth 10 points each, plus three subsidiary questions, worth five points each for each lead question, making a total of 75 points per round.

 

The teams had one Fryer pupil and students from Year 9, Years 10 or 11 and a Sixth Former to ensure a broad range of knowledge and experience. With co-curricular activities collapsed for the 4.30-5.30pm slot the Main Hall was full of cheering supporters. “We are aiming to create an electric atmosphere! “ enthused Deputy Head, Eddie Falshaw. Fox House were delighted to win.
