Students tackled the Intermediate Maths Challenge in a great mid-week brain challenge on Wednesday 31st January. Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11 all participated in the 60-minute, 25 multiple choice Challenge.
The Maths Challenge encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency to make students think. It also encourages pupils to use techniques to solve interesting problems.
We look forward to receiving the results of the challenge and putting the students with qualifying results into the next round, the Intermediate Kangaroo.
The Maths competitions available to Leighton Park students form part of the School’s commitment to an exceptional education in STEAM, as creative habits of mind are melded with logical processes, to solve complex problems.
