A UK Champion is in our midst at Leighton Park! Year 7 student, Myron, alongside his Farnham Club teammates, won the Under 13’s UK Floorball Championship after remaining undefeated throughout the entire championship finals. Additionally, Myron and his club enjoyed a successful season, winning the league!
The competition followed a round-robin format against six other teams, with standard scoring: 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and nothing for a loss. Myron’s team remained undefeated in the cup, securing a 3-point lead over the second-place team.
Reflecting on the day, Myron shared his favourite moment: “I enjoyed the happiness and celebration that followed our final game victory. I love playing Floorball because it’s very fast-paced, and there are so many micro details to perfect to improve your game. The constant need for skill improvement means you’re always getting better, even if you’re just playing. This enhances your game sense. I’ve felt a lot of praise and support from the Leighton Park community for my accomplishment”.
