Net Gains

The netball season has brought a whirlwind of intense matches and remarkable achievements for our teams during this Spring Term.

The Senior First Team have been involved in some very close matches this year with three matches being decided by 4 goals or less. At the ISA competition they finished 12th out of 16 schools. They ended the season strong, beating St Joseph’s 36-18 in the ‘Under the Lights’ game at Reading University on Wednesday 20th March. Meanwhile, the Senior Second Team had more success winning three and drawing one of their seven matches. Concurrently, the Senior Third Team had the most success winning the U18C league, maintaining an unbeaten streak up until the last game of the season.

Junior netball has been similarly successful; The U16 Team performed well in the ISA tournament, winning two out of the three group matches, before finishing 4th in the plate. The U15 Team won all of their matches this year in an incredibly successful season. The U14 Team performed extremely well at the ISA tournament in Nottingham, picking up bronze in the plate competition.

Finally, it has been a tough season for our Fryer netballers as the players gain experience and build skills, but there are still celebrations to be had. The U13 Team won bronze medal in the ISA plate, and the U12 Team came 4th in the recent Year 7 tournament at Reading Blue Coat School.

A season full of memorable achievements for all our Netball Teams across the School.
