After the legacy of Fox House was created by Physics teacher Simon Booth, his chapter as House Clerk and founder has drawn to a close, passing the baton on to delighted new Head of Fox, Lauren Brandwood, Drama teacher.
Before stepping down, Simon described the “honour” it has been to work with Fox House, stating “The House has been a way for staff and students to make connections with those they wouldn’t normally work with, bringing together students of all ages as well as academic and support staff. There are so many things to be proud of with the House, they have been so supportive, working together to give everyone the best experience.
Lauren is ecstatic to be taking on this new role, with the hopes of leading Fox House to victory. “I am so excited to be the new Fox House Clerk! The excitement and enthusiasm the students have for their Houses are amazing and I can’t wait to grow this further in Fox House. There is a great set of students in Fox House, showcased by the outstanding current House Captains, who have demonstrated their impeccable organisation and determination with the house events so far this year. Winning the house events excites me a lot but… it’s not all about winning and the involvement of the whole house gets me very excited too! This term we have a few exciting house events such as the brand-new House Sustainable Fashion and the big day which is, Sports Day.
The new House Clerk added with much gratitude, “I just want to say a big thank you for allowing me join Fox house, and how excited and determined I am to make Fox House the best House it can be! Also, thank you to Simon for letting me continue his legacy as the Fox House Clerk.
