Our Upper Sixth Psychologists travelled to White City in London on Thursday 27th March for a series of ‘Grade Booster’ workshops run by specialist tutor group, Tutor2U. Tutor2U cinema workshops are designed and delivered by experienced teacher and examiner presenters, all of whom have a deep understanding of what students need to focus on to succeed in the 2025 exams. The Grade Booster workshops, delivered in the Vue Cinema, focused on the exam techniques that will help students maximise their performance through four sessions.
Alex reflected, “I found the conference very helpful, especially for getting a better understanding of how to form well developed evaluation paragraphs for my 16 markers which I know is an area which I need to improve on.”
Eddie added “I thought the Tutor2U grade booster conference was full of useful, interactive resources that will be used for my future revision. A great experience that definitely helped me understand what examiners are looking for in answers and the specific structure required in Psychology answers.”
The all-day experience aimed to complement the revision of the A Level Psychology course in preparation for this summer’s public examinations and to set up our keen psychologists for the hard work they will need to undertake over the Easter break. “The interactive style of the sessions, as well as networking with students from other schools and colleges, made for a productive and fun day.”, enthused Claire Gulliver, Head of Psychology. Students were provided with additional revision materials as well as strategies and resources to try at home.
Psychology is offered at A Level and on the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at Leighton Park and is a popular choice with our Sixth Form cohorts. To learn more about this interesting option for Sixth Form study, take a look at our latest video.
