On the first weekend of a new term, students witnessed England triumph over Jamaica in their series decider at a sold-out Copper Box Arena, London!
Avid netball player Ruby in Year 10 reported back: “This event was an absolutely amazing opportunity for all the netball girls who attended the game. Watching the Vitality Roses go head-to-head with The Sunshine Girls of Jamaica was incredible.”
“What I found the most interesting about watching England was how they didn’t let their heads drop throughout the entire game, they kept the positive energy high. They didn’t let the Jamaica players or fans rattle them. I absolutely love watching England play and would love to become a future England Rose.”
Ruby continued “Netball at LP is such an amazing activity, Zoe, Alice and Becky are fabulous coaches, very supportive and encouraging, new people are always welcome. I would one hundred percent recommend to any young girl to get playing netball as soon as possible, it is a safe space and happy community for everyone!”
Zoe Macpherson, Head of Netball, added “students thoroughly enjoyed the experience watching England v Jamaica at the Copper Box Arena. A fantastic match at home ground of the English Roses, inspiring us for the netball season ahead!”
