Staff Versus Students Sport

The anticipated return of staff verses student leavers’ sport week kicked off on Monday 14^th June with a fierce game of Hockey.

In the lead up to the game Matt Richard, Head of Hockey, remarked “Those of you who played in these fixtures a mere 14 months ago will remember how fun, entertaining, possibly tiring, and successful the closely fought hockey and netball games against the student 1st teams were.”

Playing with determination and stamina, staff triumphed 4-2 and then came back with a vengeance, beating the Netball B side on Wednesday. Despite a close game against the A side, the staff couldn’t make a hat-trick as the students levelled up their play and took home the victory.

Zoe Macpherson, Head of Netball, commented “By playing sport in a safe and socially distanced environment, it’s a great opportunity to spend some time together outside of the normal teaching school day.”
