This weekend was full of thrills with boarding students heading to the West End to experience the spectacle that is Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera, or joining Year 10, 11 and the Pre-Sixth, for a day out at Thorpe Park.
“We’ve had some real daredevils and we’ve had students coming back absolutely soaked but having a marvellous time! They’ve been able to spend time together and to get to know their new classmates in a social setting.” commented Sally Saunders, Head of Year 10, 11 and Pre-Sixth.
“It’s been great!” reported Dasha and Lana, who agreed that their favourite ride was Samurai, spinning 360 degrees, 60 foot above ground, with 5G forces! “As a person who doesn’t really go on rollercoasters myself I think the best one was Nemesis Inferno.” decided Antigoni. Livi remarked, “The day was absolutely amazing and it was so nice to be able to spend time with all of our friends and feel like we’re getting back into the school year, having a really good start!”
