On Thursday 28th November LP hosted our very own edition of The Masked Singer, and it was a show to remember! This inaugural event was part of our School’s Music for Wellbeing initiative, designed as a collaborative project between our Music Department and Pastoral Care Team, recognising the profound impact music has on student wellbeing and mental health.

Students packed the hall with cheers, laughter, and plenty of guesses about who was behind each mask. Alex (Year 7) said “I thought it was great, it was really fun seeing them sing. Whilst many of the students were sure they’d guessed the identity of some of the performers, many proved to be as entertaining as they were surprising. In order of appearance, the performers were:
Director of Music, Rosemary Scales “What a fantastic Masked Singer Teachers’ Edition. Some huge surprises for the School community were unmasked following 7 brilliant performances! Thank you to everyone who took part!”
The event embodied the spirit of the Music for Wellbeing programme, highlighting music’s power to uplift and inspire. Through a creative and mysterious twist, the Masked Singer brought the School community together, demonstrating how music can foster connection and shared happiness.
