On Monday 9th October, our CTECH Sport and Physical Activity students ventured off to Swinley Forest in order to complete the High Ropes Challenge at Go Ape. Director of Sport, Simon Bradbury, explains “The trip to Go Ape is always enjoyable, but more importantly it’s a beneficial trip for the students as it allows them to access grading criteria P7 of Unit 18. The students get to demonstrate effective use of skills and knowledge to safely participate in an outdoor and adventurous setting in a challenging environment.”
The trip proved incredibly valuable to our Sixth Form students as the course presented a substantial challenge. Oliver, Year 12, expressed “I found our trip to Go Ape really beneficial as our instructors were excellent and the course really challenged us, which allowed us to obtain evidence towards the relevant grading criteria.”
