What a spectacular day it was for our tennis enthusiasts at Wimbledon 2025! With coveted afternoon tickets for Court No.1, our students had the unforgettable opportunity to witness elite tennis live at The Home of Tennis.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the thrilling Jannik Sinner vs Ben Shelton match, and the excitement on our students’ faces said it all. From the iconic grounds to the world-class play on court, every moment was savoured.
Paul Bean, PE and Games Teacher, reflected on the day: “I hope that one day, decades from now, they’ll be sitting on Henman Hill reminiscing about their first visit here – the thrill of the game, the sunshine, and strawberries and cream (just £2.75, I might add!) on a school trip with Leighton Park. All in all, a fantastic day.”
This memorable outing for some of our sport students not only gave students a taste of top-tier sport but also offered a chance to be inspired by the spirit of Wimbledon. Tradition, excellence, and the love of the game.
