The End of Year Celebration was a spectacle of sequins and silk on Thursday 30th June as our glamorous Year 11s gathered together in Oakview for an evening of friendship and laughter. The event celebrated the end of the cohort’s GCSEs and the official start of their long Summer break so there were plenty of high spirits and wide smiles!
The group partied under the balloon arch and happily spent hours in the pop up photobooth stopping only for sustenance and the award ceremony which recognised everything from friendliest student to pupil most likely to end up in prison!
The three-course menu was a delicious treat catered as usual by our wonderful caterers, Thomas Franks, but the food surpassed even the high standards normally witnessed in the school’s restaurant as they really went the extra mile to deliver some delectable treats and a sophisticated menu.
Deputy Head of Years 10 and 11, Leni Samuel, who co-ordinated the event commented: “It was so lovely to see the Year 11s’ so relaxed and enjoying the party after the incredibly long-drawn-out examinations. They have been through so much in the last few years, they deserved to celebrate.”
