On Tuesday 3rd October our Year 7s and Year 8s had an exciting afternoon as they received their very first Book Buzz books! Book Buzz, a dynamic reading programme from Book Trust, is designed to inspire a love of reading and to strengthen literacy skills amongst young readers.
Under this initiative, each participating student had the opportunity to select one book from a diverse selection of sixteen titles, each meticulously chosen by experts to ensure suitability and quality of reading.
The book collection caters to a wide range of interests and preferences, ensuring there is something for everyone.It includes non-fiction for the curious minds, books for the fact seekers and fast-paced page-turners for those who crave excitement.
Not only do our students receive a new book to indulge in, but Book Buzz allows our school library to expand for all students. Upon registering for Book Buzz, our library receives two additional copies of all sixteen book titles. This enriches our library’s collection, not only adding spines to the shelves but also encouraging all our students to find pleasure in reading.
