Day 1:
Salut from France! After an enjoyable ferry crossing, the group arrived safely and settled into the hotel. The evening wrapped up beautifully with a delicious dinner at Le Marivaux—a perfect start to the French adventure!
Day 2:
The day was all about snails at Les Escargots du Bocage! The students showed impressive bravery as they handled the snails, letting them slide slowly across their hands and arms. Everyone even gave snail tasting a try, though the verdicts on the flavour were definitely mixed!
In the afternoon, they visited a local chocolatier, where they watched the intricate process of crafting fine chocolate. The highlights included tasting the creations and getting the chance to bring some treats home!
On to Nausicaa Sea Life Centre they went. The Sea Life Centre brought lots of excitement and plenty to see. Big fish, little fish, jellyfish, sea lions, penguins and everything in between! The centre offered a magical underwater experience that left everyone wide-eyed and full of excitement.
A fantastic first residential for our Year 7 Fryers, celebrating their first year of settling into Senior School. Find the residentials photos here.
Day 3:
A wonderful visit to the Boulangerie before heading home! Students met a baker family and had a few lessons in french and learnt how to make croissants and bread. Back onto the ferry to head home and enjoy the sea breeze on top deck!
