Leighton Park’s Year 7 students recently showcased their entrepreneurial flair in this year’s exciting 10X Challenge, turning their £10 investments into an impressive £1,210.49 in just one hour!
Working in teams, students researched and selected a product or service to invest their initial £10 in. From sourcing materials and preparing persuasive sales pitches to planning their own selling events, pupils embraced every aspect of the business process. They then presented their ideas to the school community before taking to their stalls to sell their creations.
This year’s stalls were a vibrant mix of creativity and enterprise. Highlights included 3D printed items, beaded phone charms, hand-designed greeting cards, and a host of delicious sweet treat stands; with egg waffles proving particularly popular!
All proceeds from the challenge will be donated to charities personally chosen by the students, adding a meaningful layer of social responsibility to the experience.
The 10X Challenge is a brilliant opportunity for students to develop enterprising mindsets, creativity, and economic thinking, laying strong foundations for future success in business and beyond.
Well done to our entrepreneurs for their innovation, teamwork, and generosity!
